Football Events - 4th April

• 1909 - Sporting Club Internacional formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Founded by the three Poppe brothers who'd moved from São Paulo but found local clubs were restricted to German descendants - the name means "International" as the club was open to everyone.

• 1953 - Busby Babe Duncan Edwards made his Manchester United debut at the age of 16, becoming the club's youngest ever first team player.
