• 9th January 19 - Claudio Caniggia - Lightening quick Argentine forward. Cult hero at many of his clubs, he also crossed the great footballing divide in his homeland - playing for both River Plate and Boca Juniors.

• 9th January 19 - Gennaro Gattuso - Great midfield partner of Pirlo with Milan and Italy, where his leadership, tough-tackling, all-action style endeared him to the fans. World Cup winner with the Azzurri in 2006. Nicknamed Rino. And a top Glaswegian accent too from his Rangers days.

• 9th January 19 - Igor Netto - Quality midfielder, widely regarded as one of the greatest Soviet players ever.

• 9th January 19 - Ray Houghton - Fine midfielder who was a key part of the Liverpool and Republic of Ireland sides of the 1980s and 1990s.
