• 11th January 1941 - Gerson - The great Brazilian midfielder of the fabled 1970 team played for Flamengo, Botafogo, São Paulo and Fluminense. These simple words about him have stuck since reading them as a kid... "All left foot, but what a left foot!"

• 11th January 1943 - Roald "Kniksen" Jensen - A classic winger, he's one of Norway's greatest ever footballers, playing for Brann and Heart of Midlothian in the 1960s and 70s.

• 11th January 1957 - Reinaldo - Brazilian striker, fantastic scoring record for Atletico Mineiro in the 1970s and 80s, shame he missed the 1982 World Cup because of injury.
