Dick Nanninga was born #OnThisDay in 1949. The attacking midfielder is one of the legends of Roda JC, scoring more than 100 goals for them. Also scored the Netherlands equaliser in the 1978 World Cup final. Happy birthday to Spanish striker Manuel Sánchez Delgado, aka “Manolo”. Best known for his seven years with Atlético Madrid where he formed a great partnership with Paulo Futre and won the Pichichi Trophy for La Liga's top scorer in 1991-92. Argentine forward Guillermo Stábile was born #OTD in 1905. He was the 1st ever World Cup top scorer in 1930 (4 games, 8 goals). He also had a great scoring record at club level for Huracán. Mexican midfielder Cuauhtémoc Blanco, creator of his own signature move - "la Cuauhtemiña"...
