  • 25th June 1948 - Manuel Bento - Benfica legend who started out with FC Barreirense before moving to the Lisbon giants in 1972, playing in goal there for 20 years, and not retiring until he was 44.
  • 25th June 1951 - Emmanuel Sanon - Arguably Haiti's most famous footballer, he scored the team's only two World Cup goals when they played in the 1974 tournament, also earning fame for ending Dino Zoff's record-breaking no-goal streak.
  • 25th June 1968 - Dorinel Munteanu - Romania's most capped player of all time with 134 appearances, playing at USA 94 and France 98.
