Müller Profile
Talented Brazilian second-striker who was best known for his three spells with Sao Paulo and for three years in the Italian Serie A with Torino. Making his debut for Sao Paulo in 1984 as an 18 year-old, Muller was seen in Brazil as one of their bright new stars, a player who could possibly replace some of the old guard who had inspired the football world with their beautiful brand of football at the 1982 World Cup. He showed glimpses of his talent at the 1986 World Cup, particularly his contribution to that fine Careca goal, and had an in impressive set of group stage matches at the 1990 World Cup, scoring two goals before being dumped out by arch-rivals Argentina in the 2nd round. Muller would go on to do what his illustrious predecessors hadn't though - claiming a World Cup winners medal in 1994, even though his contribution was limited to a single substitute appearance against Cameroon.
