Roberto Baggio

Roberto Baggio, also known as "Il Divin Codino" or "The Divine Ponytail," was one of the greatest Italian footballers of all time. Born on February 18, 1967, in Caldogno, Italy, Baggio began his professional career with Vicenza in 1983 and went on to play for several top Italian clubs, including Juventus, AC Milan, and Inter Milan, as well as the Italian national team.

In 1995, Baggio moved to AC Milan, but his time at the club was marred by injury, and he was sold to Bologna just one year later. After a successful season with Bologna, he signed with Inter Milan in 1997, where he won the UEFA Cup and the Italian Cup in 1998.

Baggio's international career was also incredibly successful, and he earned 56 caps for the Italian national team, scoring 27 goals. He was a key player for Italy in the 1990 and 1994 World Cup tournaments, where he helped Italy reach the final in the latter. In the 1994 World Cup final, however, Baggio missed the decisive penalty in the shootout, which cost Italy the title. Despite this heartbreaking moment, Baggio remains one of Italy's most beloved footballers and is remembered for his incredible skill, grace, and sportsmanship on the field.
