Abdelkrim Merry Profile


Abdelkrim Merry is a former Moroccan footballer who played as a striker and was nicknamed Krimau He was born on 13 January, 1955, in Casablanca, Morocco. Merry began his football career in Morocco with the youth team of Espérance Casablanca before moving over to France in 1974 to forge a long career there with nine different clubs.

Merry scored plenty of goals at the majority of the clubs he played for, although his best spell came at Metz in 1982-83 when he scored 23 goals in just 36 games.

Merry also represented the Moroccan national team on several occasions. He made his debut for the team in 1976 and went on to play a total of 13 games for the Lions of the Atlas, scoring five goals. The highlight of his international career came at the 1986 World Cup finals in Mexico, where he was part of the team that won 3-1 win against Portugal, Krimau scoring one of the goals.
