Simon Groom Looks-for-result Fan

The 1980s Blue Peter presenter lived on a farm with his dog Goldie at nearby Dethick. Apparently he was once painting Subbuteo figures on the show and said he was doing them in the colour of his team, Chesterfield. Goldie was a Mansfield Town fan though.

Bernie Clifton's Ostrich Doesn't-Actually-Exist Fan

Whilst comedian and entertainer Bernie Clifton was born over the other side of the Pennines in St Helens, his ostrich, Oswald, has spent much of his life just outside Chesterfield, in Dronfield, and has become an honorary Town fan.

Jo Guest Born-there Fan

The 1990s lads-mag model made the most of Chesterfield's famous FA Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough in 1997, appearing a number of times in the Spireites shirt. And little else.

Geoff Miller Fan

The ex-England cricketer was born in Chesterfield and was a big fan of the Spireites. He was big friends with legendary Chesterfield forward Ernie Moss, and the two of them opened up a sports shop called Moss & Miller in the town.
