• 21st October 1947 - Kazimierz Deyna. Great attacking midfielder for Legia Warsaw and Poland in the 70s, many top teams tried to sign him in his prime but communist regime refused to let him move to the west. They eventually let him leave when he was 30, signing for Man City in 1978.

• 21st October 1961 - Andoni Zubizarreta. Spanish goalkeeping legend. Fantastic for Athletic Bilbao, Barcelona & Valencia, and playing nearly 1000 competitive games in his career.

• 21st October 1963 - Rashidi Yekini. Nigerian forward.
