• 28th September 1918 - Ángel Labruna. A legend of River Plate, scoring 293 goals for “Los Millonarios”, making him the 2nd highest scorer in the history of the Argentine top tier. He was part of the great side known as La Máquina (the Machine).

• 28th September 1941 - Peter Bonetti.

• 28th September 1944 - Jean Janssens. Beveren club legend.

• 28th September 1964 - Claudio Borghi. Attacking midfielder in the 1980s with Argentinos Juniors and big things were expected when Milan signed him in 1087. Unfortunately the Serie A foreign player rule meant he never played for the Rossoneri and he drifted back to South America after spells with Como and Swiss club Neuchâtel Xamax.
