Malcolm Macdonald Profile
Powerful and extremely quick centre-forward who was prolific for each of the three clubs that he spent the majority of his career at; Luton, Newcastle and Arsenal. It was with Newcastle in 1971 that he was really propelled into football stardom, scoring a hat-trick on his home debut against Liverpool and being nicknamed Supermac by the Geordie faithful who took him immediately to their hearts. McDonald would go onto average a goal every other game over the course of five seasons at St. James Park before being transferred to Arsenal and achieving the same feat at Highbury for three seasons.
