- 7th January 1950 - Malcolm Macdonald - Legendary forward in the 1970s for Newcastle United and Arsenal. Nicknamed 'Supermac'.
- 7th January 1955 - Graziano Bini - Cracking defender for Inter who wore the captain's armband at the San Siro for seven of his fourteen years there in the 1970s and 1980s.
- 7th January 1969 - Marco Simone - Brilliant at times for Milan, but only four caps for Italy. He'd later go on to play in Ligue 1, with both Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco.
- 7th January 1974 - Julen Guerrero - The two-footed attacking midfielder was fantastic to watch in the 90s at Athletic Bilbao.
- 7th January 1987 - Davide Astori - Fine Italian centre-back who sadly passed away in 2018, aged only 31.
- 28th February 1991 - Eden Hazard - The Belgian winger was born on this day.
